Malik Svay

Malik Svay is a Southern California–based educator and performer in the marching arts. His journey began in 2017 at Mayfair High School, where his passion for percussion first took root.

As a performer, Malik has marched with several renowned ensembles, including Catalyst Percussion (2019–2020), Gold Indoor and Outdoor (2021), POW Percussion (2022), Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps (2022–2024), and Pulse Percussion (2023–2024).

Malik began his teaching career in 2021 and has since worked with various high schools across Southern California. He currently serves as a battery technician at Cerritos High School, where he has been part of the program since 2022.

Outside of the marching arts, Malik is pursuing a degree in Music Education at Cypress College.
