ABOUT US

Orange County Independent (OCI) Percussion is an open-class indoor percussion ensemble based in Orange County, California. We are a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization, recognized by the state of California, dedicated to excellence in the indoor marching arts. Our organization is built on a strong foundation of educational value, artistic growth, and competitive achievement.

Our mission is centered around two core objectives:

1. To provide performers with a transformative and enriching experience in the indoor marching arts.
   We strive to create an environment where young musicians and performers can grow not only in their technical and artistic abilities but also as individuals. Through high-level instruction, mentorship, and teamwork, we aim to instill discipline, confidence, and a strong sense of community. Our programs are designed to inspire creativity and passion while promoting personal and professional development.

2. To achieve competitive excellence within our division and consistently strive for finals placement each season.
   We believe that competition drives innovation and growth. As such, we are committed to maintaining a standard of excellence in our design, instruction, and performance quality. Our staff and members work tirelessly each season to present programs that are both artistically engaging and competitively viable, with the goal of advancing to WGI World Championship Finals and representing our organization with pride on a regional and national stage.

Through these goals, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of our members and contribute meaningfully to the marching arts community.
